Meet Magic Jordan
Prior to running for City Council Magic represented justice-involved youth with a local non-profit in DC. He has dedicated himself to advocating for justice and equity. In June 2022, Rondell served as a Racial Justice Fellow with Justice at Work, a worker’s rights organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career, Rondell has represented low-income clients in landlord-tenant disputes, wage theft cases, and matters of immigration and employment discrimination. His unwavering commitment to public service and social justice has driven his efforts to create meaningful change in his community.
Rondell holds a B.A. in Communications Arts and Sciences from Pennsylvania State University, an M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University—where he co-founded and presided over the Heinz Council for Diversity, Richness, and Inclusion—and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as Associate Editor of the Pittsburgh Tax Review and President of the Black Law Students Association.
With a strong foundation in legal advocacy and community engagement, Rondell Magic Jordan is ready to bring his passion for justice and inclusive policy-making to the City Council, aiming to improve the lives of all residents in Ward 2.
